Imagine being told that your little boy has moderate to severe autism and that their IQ is zero, basically unmeasurable. Now imagine that he’s an adult playing the piano in front of a large audience—his fingers pressing the keys to the beautiful tunes of Beethoven, Chopin, Mozart, or Bach. He says much in his music, but he’s still struggling to communicate his basic needs.

Milosz’s achievements on the piano are exceptional—and it wasn’t without hard work, sweat, and tears, as well as unwavering support from his family and community. As his mother, I want the world to know how much he has achieved despite the obstacles. I want to give him the voice that he lacks. It is my wish that the soft, sweet melody of his life story can make a positive impact on your own.
